The face of Mario was created in 1991 when I got my first Macintosh. It was just a fun sketch, a personal icon with no intended purpose. Six years later, when I met Michelle, it occurred to me that she, too, would need a personal icon to symbolize our relationship.

As our family grew, it only seemed right to continue our fun tradition. We created a new icon in 2001 for Travis, our firstborn, and yet another in 2005 following Brandon's arrival.

Over the years, the family icons and drawings of our moments together became a unique and enjoyable way to share our lives with friends and relatives, near and far. My Family Diary is a visual accumulation of our time together and the events that inspired them. Enjoy!
